MEET OUR WINNERS: We have been happily together for three and a half years, but have found ourselves recently long distance. This photo shows our wonderful reunion after being apart.
God has blessed us so much together, and we are nothing without Him!
Ross and Rachel, yep just like Friends! and no we aren't planning on naming our first born girl Emma:). Here we are at a friend's wedding where they had a photo booth. She's the love of my life and we got married in Kerrville, April 2008.
I crush on guys with mustaches but when Tyler and I first met he adamently refused to stop shaving. Now he's growing a mustache for my 26th birthday! He loves me! He loves me! He loves me!
If I could just get him to let me pluck his eyebrows...But hairy or not, he will always be my crazy/beautiful/adventurous bestfriend.
My parents have been married for over 40 years and they are still going strong. They raised 4 kids and we all live in central Texas, so they are constantly down here, which makes them Honorary Central Texans. (They live in El Paso). Dad bought a motorcycle last summer and Mom got the courage to ride with him...she just wants to ride into the sunset with him.
We've been together for 7 1/2 years. Last year for Labor Day we took a trip out to San Francisco and visited the beach in Santa Cruz. Who knew it actually gets cold somewhere in September?! This picture was taken by my sister-"out"-law as I like to call her.
My parents are the most amazing people I know! I wouldn't be who I am today without them. They will be married 30 years this coming March. My mom is native Austinite and has lived no where else. My parents laid the best foundation for me...living a life devoted to Christ and serving the Lord. My mother is now a published author and my dad works for CBRE. They raised 2 children, stay busy, yet always make time for each other. I love them so much!
My brother Phillip and his new wife Shelly my sister, were married December 31st at my home surrounded by family and close friends. It was a beautiful ceremony that took alot out of us but in the end.....it brought forth the true beauty in they're relationship and allowed it to shine in front of everyone. I'm so honored to have been able to give them this gift in mine and my husband, Ken's home. Otherwise, it would have been at the J.P.'s office!
One day we decided to bake an apple pie which neither of us had ever done before. It did not come out as well as we hoped. But this is my favorite picture of my beautiful girlfriend Kristina and I and memorable experience.
Me and my (then) new husband at our wedding day reception at Cedar Street Courtyard in downtown Austin, October 18, 2003. Just as we were then, we are still crazy for one another!
We are married for about 3 n 1/2 years...This was taken at our Apt. when Gautam surprised me with the Fruit Basket (one of surprises that were successful) on our 3rd Wedding Anniversary on 15th July 2008 !!
We never believed in soul mates or love at first sight... But we both knew from the moment we met that we were going to fall in love. I never thought I'd meet the love of my life in law school, but I did. Jake surprised me with a proposal August 2008. This picture was taken in Millennium Park during our engagement trip to Chicago.
Our son, Noel Hertenberger after baptizing Jenny Stehling At Western Hills Church of Christ on January 20, 2008 and asking for her hand in marriage. She accepted at that time and they were married later that year on June 15, 2008.
Kenneth & Sheryl Musick. Celebrating Kenneth's birthday at Mandola Estates Restaurant. Yes we are madly in love even though we cheer for different teams!
This photo was taken during our engagement session with our wedding photog. My fiance plays rugby so we took a few shots with the rugby ball. He really tackled me, which explains the look of glee on his face. We'll be married this summer.
Even though it was Rice and the nosebleed section- I was so excited to be there!!! Disclaimer: My hubby is a Buckeye fan (he's from Ohio, so cut him some slack), but he knows EXACTLY what it takes to keep his Longhorn fan happy!!! : )
Summer fling or the real thing I would ask..... but then it turned to something so beautiful, so genuine, so suddenly, so fast. Look at us now approaching the spring.... knowing very well how much love it will bring. TE....
Halloween 2008 "Save water, shower together!" was our motto. John and I met on myspace December 2006 and will be getting married summer 2009! He is my best friend and love of my life.
Austin gave us a rough welcome: two days after we moved 1500 miles from Cleveland, Ohio, our trusty old Honda was stolen from our apartment complex. Instead of taking it as a bad omen, we figured we were getting our bad luck out of the way. In the one and a half years since, we recovered our car, bought a new house, and one of us even landed a book deal. Ain't it great to be alive in Austin, Texas! This is us at a Texas Rangers game.
Engagement photo May 2008 Florence, Italy This photo was not planned, but our photographer loved the light in this alley. He asked one of the locals if we could borrow his bike for a couple of shots, and it is one of our favorites.
Picture taken of my parents at a Halloween party last year. After 46 years of marriage, 4 children and 5 grandchildren later they are still going strong!!!
You are never prepared for the obstacles that life throws at you, but you are able to overcome them with help from the one you love.
"May you ever share a friendship strong and true, May lifelong loyalty be God's gift to you. May you love each other to your hearts' content, And may your every blessing be truly heaven-sent." Irish Blessing
Been in love since January 9, 2006. Joseph and I have had some amazing adventures throughout our relationship and it's no where near the end of the road for us. It seems as the days go by our love only grows stronger and stronger. We complete each other and couldn't ask for more.
This picture was taken just this Christmas, just one of the many more to come. :]]
We've been married 10 1/2 years and it has been and continues to be A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!! We are the answers to each others prayers! December 2008 at Pluckers in RR. Hector and Lisa Salas
I met Jimmy over 2 years ago and I don't know what I would do without him. I live in Leander and he lives in Lago Vista. We both have teenage sons to get raised, but someday, we'll get a house together, and who knows, set the date? I love you Jimmy with all my heart!
We attended an event at the Monarch building in December for Equality Texas and L Style G Style Magazine. A TRUE Scotsman in Texas, my partner and best friend!
Zombie love! Spike and Bunny first shared some brains together after a radioactive spill in San Diego over 16 years ago. Tired of the lean and green victims in Cali, they moved to Austin for a more smokey-flavored atmosphere. You can find this fiesty couple (10 years married) hanging out at their favorite haunt, the Jackalope. Come visit, but you might want to wear helmets.
Paige and JB met two years ago during a random weekend with mutual friends in College Station. Friendship sustained over the years recently turned to romance! The first picture was taken on JB's first visit back to College Station, where Paige now attends Texas A&M. The second picture was taken on New Year's Eve in Dallas, where JB attends UT-D, and was the first of what the new couple hopes to be many new year celebrations spent together!
New Year's Eve at Antone's. We met two weeks earlier when I came in from California to see a friend. There hasn't been a day we haven't emailed or an evening we haven't talked an hour or more since we met. We have flights booked between Los Angeles and Austin for the next month! Very cool. I like this woman a lot!
We met in class a few months ago and it was love at first sight. We were everything each other were looking for. We are serious when needed but we are loud and crazy and bring the best out of each other.
We spent our first Christmas together downtown at the tree lighting in front of the Capital. We sang Christmas carols, drank hot chocolate, and visited the Austin Museum of Art. It was a perfect holiday season in Austin!
We are in about hour three of a Nigerian wedding (it lasted until 2 in the morning). We are happy and eagerly awaiting a non-non alcoholic beverage. Best people watching wedding ever. Nigerians dancing Journey. Amazing.
Attached picture was taken of my parents, Glen and Nell Tanner, Christmas 2008. They are 83, were married in 1944 and have been sweethearts since they were 12, here in Austin. My mother is a 5th generation Austinite, as her great, great grandfather Jesse Tannehill was one of the original settlers of the Little Colony, which became Waterloo, and is now Austin. They bring true meaning to the words "cute couple!" Thank you, Cindy (daughter)
Our wedding at Vintage Villas was magical, attended by over 100 of our closest friends and family from all over the country. Daughter Casey delighted the crowd when she raised our hands in jubilation (shortly after this picture was taken) as we processed out to U2's "Beautiful Day."
William was getting his headshots done for his acting career and so I jumped in with him! Guess he wasn't too excited about that! He's a little stinker face! :)
All Shawn did was ask his other half, Billie, if she could grab him another beer. These two are a couple in every sense of the word, both in the studio and out in the "real world"
Taken at Flipnotics in early 2007. I am deliriously happy and he... is making that face because he's probably about to grab my butt. That's our love -- sweet and silly and saucy.
This was taken at St. Nick's a 50 year old jazz club in Harlem. We met and moved in with each other after a month. We've been together for 3 years now!
Zach and I don't take oursleves too seriously! We just enjoy eachother's company. For example our song is "Apache" by the Sugar Hill Gang (eposide of Fresh Prince when Carlton does the stripper dance ring a bell?)
Trey and Hailey Trey and I have been together for 4 1/2 years and wish we could get married tomorrow! This picture was taken at the Pavillion at the Salt Lick. We also have 2 pups named Buddy and Zeus who we adore!
Married over 60 years and always lived in Austin since they were married. There first date was at Sandy's on Barton Springs. Theoir committment to each other is a inspiration. They always love and support their family. They are amazing grandparents, parents and a couple!
I feel so lucky to have the love of my life and my best friend to spend all of my days with.. He is my world. Location: Pacific Grove, CA., Seven Gables B&B
We were best friends long before we started dating. He actually had a crush on one of my friends, and I tried to hook them up. Turns out it didn't work out. We've now been dating for almost 2 years!
Deidra and Casey Clark at the Mayan ruins of Chichen Itza in the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico. The Mayan ruin behind us is the El Castillo, or the Castle. This was taken during our cruise in January 2009.
Photo made of my parents after attending their grandson's graduation from UT. My parents raised four boys and were married 62 years before my mother passed last March. They were still so in love, holding hands and her leg over his as they rode in the back of the convertible, just as though they were sitting on the sofa at home. The night before she passed, my father curled up in the hospital bed with her and she said, "You're all I need."
