Danielle Jewell, 11, left, and Kaitlyn Reineche, 12 look rather bored while waiting for their moms to shop at the Armadillo Christmas Bazaar at the Palmer Events Center. The girls were tired, they said, of walking around the cavernous hall. 'We walk around, then stop a little, then walk some more, ' says Danielle. 'The good part is we're in out jammies, ' adds Kaitlyn.

Jean Paul Feuvray, of western France, checks the sound made by stone chimes being sold at the Armadillo Christmas Bazaar at the Palmer Events Center. Feuvray is on his latest visit to Austin, a place he loves, he says. He travels Monday to Lousiana, then to Florida and back to France, but not without a trinket or two.
